Garmin 182c trip and waypoint ???

Hi, can't really find this information on a search.. if i want to add 500 - 750 old waypoints to a new 182c plotter, is the trip and waypoint software from garmin what i need... Really don't want to manual do this,, do you just add them to software and load them to plotter via pc... thanks for the help in advance..

It depends on how and where they are currently stored. If you can connect your existing plotter to a PC then you can use oziexplorer or easygps. Ozi in my opinion is much better. Download them to the PC and then upload them to your new Garmin unit.
