Default Lowrance 'ducer cables - fit across model lines?

I have a fairly new Lowrance LMS-332C sonar/GPS. I like it well enough, but my eyesight isn't what it used to be. The small 5" screen really wears on me. I would upgrade to the 10" unit, model LCX-111HD, if I knew I would not have to go through the ordeal of snaking the 'ducer cable under the deck from the transom up to the CC all over again. Wonder if my old 'ducer cable connector would fit the new unit? Anybody know how "universal" these 'ducer connectors are? At least from one Lowrance to another of similar vintage?

Thanks,
Marsh

You would have to check a few things first. The color of the 2 connectors grey with grey or black with black. I think they are both gre connectors. Next is the 332 the wass receiver, is it nema2000 that dosent have much to do with the ducer moreso with the GPS. But if its just the ducer you are worried about I think you would be ok. The 10 inch screens are also gps units there isnt just a 10 inch fishfinder. Lowrance is working on some new products to compete with the salt water market, larger 14 in touch screens and radar should be out within the next 30-90 days. Lowrance is making a move toward the big boys of the salt water market. Their nema2000 system is just awsome, git a full look at the whole system at the show this week.

The transducer from the 332/337 is the same one that is packaged with the LCX-26 and the 111. It will plug right in.

Subject: RE: Technical Question

Thank you for the inquiry. Yes. The transducer that you have with the PMax20 will work with the Matrix 97 and 787. Best Regards, Julie"

wRitE to Lowrance they will tell you directly. They answer email within 6 working days and usually within 4. If your existing ducer is 50/200 and your new unit uses a 50/200 it becomes plug and play unless they are different brands. In that case you need only unplug your old unit and plug your new one.

As u cn see above. My pmax 20 ducer is being used now with the matrix 97 and all I did was plug and play. No wire snaking etc. Did not even need a ducer with humminbird 97.

I am satisfied with my 6" screen Humbird Matrix 97 and Lowrance H2O.

Lowrance has an 800 number, call when they FIRST open (CST) and ask a tech.... instant gratification.........
