Default Raytheon Transducer on a Garmin Product

Ok, here is data:
Old Raytheon L750 FishFinder and Raychart 520 Chartplotter.
Updated to a Garmin unit that uses the GSD 20 black box module.
Old transducer is Raytheon?? (cannot see #) and is a through hull unit with a paddle wheel and temp.
Have been told it may be possible to use this transducer with the garmin unit. Sure would cut down on the cost of replacing a through hull unit, fairing block, haul out charges and labor.

Anyone know where I might find pertinent data?? (Don't think Raymarine or Garmin would be willing to help.

Why the switch fm Raymarine to Garmin ($$$ mainly)and at 4 yrs old the Raytheon L750 screen was unreadable. and IMHO it should still be good with only 150hrs on the boat.
LD
Still installing!! 2days and counting

Most transducers are made by Airmar. Raytheon and Garmin will sell you one, but they don't build it. Yours will work, but how well? Are you sure the screen was 100% of your problems?
I have the GSD 20 w/ a Garmin 3010C. For $100 buy the transom mount 50/200 with a speed wheel. 150 hrs doesn't matter. The level of technology does. How old is the actual transducer? You already spent lots of $$, complete the job to achieve peace of mind.
