all i want it for right now is to get thru the fog on the lakes i fish(had a 2 hr delay last sat)couldn't see 10 ft and could hear other boats running wide open got a little worried when one passed very close,i never saw the boat(saw a dark spot) but the white wash was enough to scare the $$$% out of me.
i already have a 3005c so it should be easy to add..
We have the 2kw unit on our boat with a 3010c. I can't compare it to any other radar units on the market but from my own experience it works just fine. We got caught out in fog going to Cuttyhunk this past summer and it did the job. The overlay of the radar on the chartplotter is super. You can see the bouys on the chartplotter and the radar will show you a shadow over the bouys. The other shadows on the screen without something beneath them on the chartplotter are boats etc. Once you see the radar up and running this would make more sense.
My brother in law has the 4kw,he just recently had the unit pop up with a radar error [radar shutting down]and the gps not aquiring sats sometimes ,unit is still under warranty so a tech is still trying to figure out the problem. The 3010 screen is beautiful, when all is working it is a nice unit.
Since Garmin favors the blue trim, you could always throw a Furuno sticker on the dome so people would think you got a real radar instead of just a real big radar.
I know, I know, that was a cheap shot. Sorry in advance, I just couldn't resist.

Alright Glen.. Play nice.
I would honestly leave it with no stickers as it would go well with the lines on the boat. So, whats on the agaenda next to be added on her? You are going to run out of room soon.
