Do the yamaha guages show sea water surface temp?

No response on boating forum, so ill give this a shot:

I know the new networked command-link guages have sea water temp but do the regular digital guages have this function. Just bought a 2006 boat w/ twin f150's and fuel managment. If the guage has sea water temp then I dont need to get a separate transom mount temp sensor. Thanks.

I've never seen anything with sea temp on my Yam gauges. The only information they provide that's not directly associated with the motors themselves is speed and battery voltage.

Not a chance on the old style round gauges. If it is a 2006 boat that you ordered, perhaps you can get the factory to use the new style square gauges. But you will still need an NMEA data source that is generating sea temperature to feed into the Yamaha gauges, which could be a depth sounder with an appropriate transducer. Even the new Yamaha gauges cannot produce information on their own (other than engine data), so you would have to get a temperature sensor in any case.
