Anyone know how to program 22 free channels in Icom M502?

Send it back to ICOM or an authorized dealer... they will do it for a service charge. I've tried to find out if there are any "back door" methods through cheat sheets from the hams... have not been successful !

What are the "extra" channels, I get a 502 should I tell the installer to do somthing to activate it?

No, although I'm thinking about it. I'm afraid that I'll just get even more requests for radio checks, sea conditions and the size limits on bergalls!
