Quick Garmin 276c Map Transfer Question

I ordered a 276c. I am assuming that I do not need a data card reader to load Bluechart maps on the GPS. If I insert a blank data card into the GPS can I transfer the chart directly to the data card? The webpage says "For map transfer or software updates, the GPSMAP 276C features a fast USB-PC interface." I just want to make sure that I DO NOT need the data card reader..

Have the same unit, love it. You only need the USB on your PC to transfer maps. No separate card reader needed.
Check the software date on your unit. With the latest update, you can also use the unit as a color bottom machine with the addition of the Garmin GSD 20. I'm doing the install on that now on my flat's boat. Also use the unit very effectively in the truck. Great unit!
