Default Garmin - chip to chip copy?

I have a Garmin chart plotter and two BlueChart chips. I activated MUS002R on a blank chip that came with the plotter (bundle deal from West Marine). I also purchased MUS003R on pre-programmed chip (from eBay). I would like to have the data from MUS002R and MUS003R on the same chip. Is it possible to copy from chip to chip? I have the burner...

I don't believe you can in this case. The only way I know to do it is via MapSource and I don't believe you can upload the map off of the preprogrammed chip. I also don't think you can write to the preprogrammed chip so either way you try I don't think will work. What unit do you have? The 2000 and 3000 series can hold two chips and will load the charts off of both.

Give Garmin a call, maybe they have some secret mojo they can work.

You can simply load maps, waypoints and data to the preprogrammed chip. It will replace the pre programmed information.

Sorry, I misread the question. No, you cannot have both on one chip in this case. Whatever mapping you upload from the garmin software will overwrite the maps on the chip. I think you'll just need to use the chips separately.
