Default Best fishfinder for a small boat

I am looking for a good fishfinder for a small (18') bay boat. I have a excellent color machine on my current boat I am getting rid of and may want to stay with a color unit on my new boat. What brands should I stay away from? Boat will mostly be used for inshore saltwater with some trips out 20 miles on occasion. Not looking to spend a fortune either.

Stay away from Lowrance ...

The DS500 from raymarine would be a great unit ... Furunos color is considerably larger .....

The new Garmin 198's are looking to be sweet !!!!!!

Thanks for the quick response. Will the Garmin unit or Raymarine for that matter show bottom at speed? I have a Sitex thats going with my boat and it shows well at 35mph or faster.
