Default stainless or nylon rail mount for antenna

I'm going to mount a 4 foot fiberglass shakespear VHF antenna to the rail around the windshield of my boat. Should I go with the stainless steel or the nylon mount?

Put a nylon on my boat. Broke every year. Bought a stainless. Been on for 6 years and still looks brand new.

Nylon has been outlawed on boats along with transom mount tranducers!!! The US coast gaurd put out a bulliten last week: DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING PLASTIC OR ANY TRANSOM MOUNTED TRANDUCER ON YOUR BOAT!! If you found with either, you will be locked up for life!!

WOW! that's pretty harsh.

Thanks for all the input, I'll pick up a stainless mount later in the week at the local boaters world.

My boat will not be delivered until mid June anyway so there's no rush...

It's tough to be boatless...my old boat sold on Friday..and I have to wait until June to get the new one
