Does anyone know if this unit has actually been released yet? I keep waiting to get a report from one of you about its performance. I fear that it hasn't been released yet and that maybe some threads are correct suggesting that a few more "bugs" need to be work out.
I like the idea of a hydraulic AP without the need for linear feedback (the SportsPilot Plus was a dud for me) that I can use in slow trol applications, among other situations. And $1,000 seems like a decent price. But, maybe some faulty design caused RM to further delay its distribution.
Anyone know???

If its taking this long to come out, I'd be a tad suspect. Personally, I let others be the guinea pigs and then make a decision.

Ray has been talking about releasing this thing since the Miami Boat Show and every month they say next month. Now they are saying before the end of May. They must be having some serious problems. May 31th and they will say in June!

I'm about done waiting.

I've been looking for one of these myself. I understand that the product was released this week.

Guys personally I would wait for a while before rushing out to purchase this autopilot...

Also if your boat is close to the Max cap.. step up in units and look at their
other pilots !!!!

And they have not released them as of Friday as per my suppilers !!!!

Good point John, I got one on order too. Think I will cancel it and wait for the reports to come in. I think I am close to the max with this unit.

Why buy something the manufacturer is saying is still going thru testing? I just added a Radar with gps overlay and I was looking foward to getting this autopilot, but now I think I'll wait and make the AP next winter project.
