Default Autopilot Recommendation

What is the lowest cost autopilot that will do the job on a Pursuit 2470WA with twin 115's? I want to interface it with a Raymarine C80 GPS. Thanks.

I'm looking at the raymarine s1000 for my 2470WA. Just waiting for a few positive user reports before I go for it.

The Raymarine S1G is about $1500 complete at all the boat shows. Great unit.

I just got the ST8001 S1G for $1500 at the ny javits boat show and had it installed for another $1300. It's interfacing with the RL70C Plus. Everything works great...I'd highly recommend it.

The s1G may be overkill for a Pursuit 2470.....the S1000 is just under $1K and easily self installed (so they claim).

The 2470 uses the same seastar cylinder for either single or twin engines. The weight and handling characteristics of the 2470 in any configuration have no unique quirks. The Raymarine pump puts out more than enough fluid to turn the boat more rapidly than you ever would turn it yourself.

Why would the S1000 be at all pressed to safely autopilot a 2470 in any configuration?

Not that it matters, but the original request was based on twin 115's which is less effective propellor power than a single 225.
