Random Quote: Tell the girl at the bar that I named my boat "AFTER YOU".
Why is no one marketing a stand alone with the new chirp technology, whats with all these little 5" combos?
Must be what the market wants?
I want a standalone too but, I think the manufacturers (Garmin, Simrad, Raymarine) are mostly targeting the fresh water - inshore fishermen with little space on their console for electronics AND also want to steer the offshore chirp users towards their higher end (and price) products.
At this time, only Furuno does not have any chirp sounder. They might go the stand alone route.....
I was at the AC boat show yesterday and spoke to a guy at raymarine..... he said it will be displayed for the 1st time at the miami boat show thursday, but wont be able to ship for 4-6 weeks. was told it will be like looking at a video.....$700. we will see
I'll be at the Miami Boat Show during dealer day, so ill try to take pics and post them up here.
Hey Bud, if you get this, will you ask the Raymarine guys what the options are as far as mounting the transducer to a trolling motor. If they suggest it or not.

Thanks in advance!
The website says there will be a trolling motor adaptor for the CT-60 transducer.
