I have seen a couple out there, but I don't know if they work or not.

I just have a Motorola bag phone with a Shakespeare 5227-R antenna and I get over 50 mile from the beach in NC.

digital 4000, its almost equal to our old bag phone, biggest hassle is getting a cell phone that adapter plugs directly into ant port, the cradle type adapter didnt work very well with my first phone.

I have one for my nextel and it seems to work fine. Haven't been more than 20 miles out since I got it, but had full signal well after I lost signal without the amp. There is one out now that will work with any provider except the iden network (Nextel) that is a repeater and amp combined. No more plugging up the phone and all phones around it can use the extra power. I haven't seen any of these, but have seen the wireless repeaters used in metal buildings and they seem to be good.

the wireless version needs too much antennae seperation to use on small boats.
