Default Nav Module - In-App Purchase for iPhone or iPad HD

Navionics, the world leader in electronic navigation, has launched the highly anticipated In-App Purchase of the Nav Module for its award winning Navionics iPhone and iPad HD Applications.
The Nav Module expands the navigation capabilities of the Navionics App by providing users the ability to enter routes and analyze vital details such as estimated time of arrival, distance to arrival, heading to waypoints and fuel consumption. Editing can be done underway while receiving real time route data, or planned off the water, syncing to your other mobile devices.
Boaters can elect to upgrade to Nav Module via Apple’s In-App Purchase for a one-time charge of $1.99/€1.59 on iPhone and $4.99/€3.99 on iPad with most recent software version of 3.2.
The Nav Module is tremendously easy to use which means less time on the dock and more time enjoying your on-the-water adventure.

This to me is not evolutionary, but closer to revolutionary...it will be a game-changer I believe. And, how can you beat the total cost of the app plus upgrade?

I've often wondered if Navionics would add features like these, or refrain from doing so to prevent competing with its own MFD product line. Once a waterproof iPad with 800 nits of screen brightness eventually becomes available, I think the marine vendors are in for a rude awakening.

BTW, KIrtH, are you the official Navionics rep here on THT? If so, please avoid Jeff's mistakes here...he did more damage than good.for the company.

No, that would be me, and yes I understand the comment perfectly.

To follow up on Kirts cool post, has anyone downloaded the in-app purchase yet? Curious on any feedback. Only $2

Yes and it works great.

For $5 why would you even worry about a decision?
