Default Cabin light

I am looking for a cabin dome light that can switch between white and red. Anyone have a link?

West Marine sells a 5.5" dome light in a chrome or white enameled case for around $21 that has both red and white bulbs. From a right-hand side steering station, it lined up great ... put the switch to the "rear" for "red" light and forward for white. I usually stay away from their stores due to "high" prices, but this was a nicely made unit with the 2-color feature that I wanted.

If you'd rather the light be red and white LED's, try these from Boaters World:

I'm replacing the overhead light in my pilothouse, as well as the two lights in my v-berth with these.

Good luck!

Nice light Capt Kevin, but you had the product ID wrong. The Boater's World product ID# for the combo red/white LED light is # 196790562 (SeaSense - LED Surface Mount Light White/Red).

Seems like a "best buy" for only $20 ! Too bad it wasn't available when I put mine in .

can't quantify in lumens, but it's not real brite. enuf to keep you from knocking yur head, find things. but you need to move close to it to read a map or tie a lure. NOTE: this only applies to people 40+
