TR-1 Autopilots

Anyone used a TR-1 Autopilot? A lot of the higher-end center console had them already installed at the Ft. Lauderdale boat show. First time I'd heard of them. Very impressive product and was wondering how well they worked in the real world??

It's to expencive for me with the postal charges and 20% tax I have to pay overhere but they shure are high end things.

Thanks for the reply. I'm hearing that the units are very hard to setup. I was hoping to do the install myself. The new Furuno has a lot of the same "fishing" features, might be better to stick with it.

A former neighbor of mine who has MS, had one installed on his kicker, and he liked it. Allowed him to let the AP do the work of handling the boat while he fished.

They are getting pretty popular in the Northwest. I have the local dealer working up some prices for me to install the Gladiator, which is the bigger AP that the company manufactures.

They will probably become more popular if they do major distribution in the Florida area, as the folks in the Southeast are a tough sell.

I don't think the units are hard to set up, as everyone who uses them talks about how simple they are to use.

TR-1 Autopilots has leased a building Dania Beach, and will be in full operation by the end of year, set-up for this pilot takes about an hour. TR-1 has dealers in Florida as well. need more info. call us.

have been running tr1 for 2 years here in fl. some problems, but programing things. great support.
no corroded rudder control sensors
