According to the sales rep at west marine the cab;es from the discontinues 180 will fit on the new 182 which is supposed to be the updated version of the 180.

Yes...I did that upgrade....same cables, same holes in dash for dash mount....same case. Just different insides.

i think ! sorry , jus had to do that !.... ... my 180 just quit working and i wanted to hook it up to a 182 at the store, to see if its the cable or the unit.....thanks again...nodoubt...
