Is there any way to import Excel Spreadsheet GPS coordinates into Garmin Mapsource?

For instance, I would like to convert the listed link into an Excel Spreadsheet and then import it into Mapsource. However, Mapsource will only except .mps and .wpt files.

I do not want to type each one in separately.

Any ideas?

Mapsource also can import PCX5 files. Google pcx5 gps file transfer and you'll get a bunch of seemingly relevant hits. You may need to convert the excel file to a delimited txt file and transfer, but in my brief review it looks like it can be done with freeware/shareware. Good luck.

I have imported the reef sites into excel, but the others links do not seem to work. I will post the results of the work later. I will also work on this more when I get to my office in the am.

Using GPSU (www.gpsu.co.uk) you can read an Excel CSV formated file and then upload the data into your GPS. If you want the information in Mapsource you can then download the data from your GPS. This process isn't bad as it sounds if you only need to do it a few times. There are probably more elegant ways but it works for me. I've used this methodolgy with a Garmin 182C, 162 and a Legend successfully.

This software also has other features that may be of interest like editing/combining/spliting routes. Check it out. I've used it for 4 years with great success.
