Default Electrical Supplies - Where to find good prices?

Hey folks -

Where do you recommend getting electrical (not electronics like GPS, VHF, etc) supplies like battery switches, fuse blocks, and the like. Online or in person, I'm looking for some deals. I need to pick up a battery switch among other things.

Cheers!

I'm rewiring a 25 footer from stem to stern and I found all of the Ancor products I need ... in stock ... and at prices 40% lower than local marine stores (who's stock is minimal at best) at www.shipstore.com . Type in "ancor" in the search box to get all of the Ancor products.

Another great price for duplex (2-wire) wire in a protective sheath is www.surplusunlimited.com , but it is not Ancor wire, although it is tinned and rated as marine grade.

Delivery from either of them was only a couple days - great prices and good service !

Reel Rascal gave you the two sources I use. I particularly like t he Ships store because they not only tell you that they have stuff in stock (which some companys will do when they don't actually have what it is you're looking for - Boater's World) and also tell you how much they have left in stock - gives you a rosy feeling. For connectors I go to Lowe's. They have suprisingly high quality stuff in their electrical (home wireing) department. Its all just tin plated copper of course but some is thicker than others. I buy my solder and flux at Radio Shack, and wouldn't buy their shrink fit tubing if it was a dime a mile - their's is pure crap. If you are in the market for breaker panels Consumer Marine Electronics will treat you well (they stock Paneltronics stuff) as will Defender.

Jamestown distrubutors has the best price I know of on tinned marine grade wire..
$12.40 for 100 feet of 14 guage primary wire.

Lots of great boatbuilding / maintenance supplies

good people to do business with as well.
