I had an issue upgrading one that was 2.9 as well. Is yours 2.9? That may be the issue. I had to search around and find another one. Your best bet is to just buy one that is already 3.5 and sell yours. You have a much better situation than most that are trying to downgrade.

The new cables are locked, you cant change their sw version. So you need to exchange for the part number ending in -350.

Just ordered my C10 gauge from International Marine, looking forward to finally setting up my NMEA2k network.

Also, I ordered the v2.3 interface cable last July from International Marine as well. Haven't hooked it up to anything yet, but it appears to have been well used before I bought it. Is that the standard? I don't recall it being advertised as a used item on the IM website.

can someone take a photo and point it out for a 2017?

The only way to have the 2.3v is by using an old cable. New cables come locked from Suzuki. International Marine

Unless you have a source..... that can get the right versions!

The Suzuki interface cables sold new here in Aus are all able to have their software versuons changed.

I figured that was the case, and that they are probably pulling them from boats getting re-powered. I wonder if they're treating them as new (as far as warranty goes)?

Default Cant find the stinking trim gauge wire on 2009 DF250

I've studied Moonlighter's post, order all the parts, ran all the cables, , but can not find the trim gauge wire to plug the lead from the new engine interface cab,e into! I need help for sure. Pictures, or wire colors would be most appreciated!

It's going to be down closer to the bracket. If I recall, mine were plugged into something already.

Will the C10 work with 2.3? Also, what size & year is your motor?

The cable may have been installed but didn't work. They are great people and will take care of you if you have a problem.

Thanks

I was informed that yes it would (despite it not being listed as compatible), in this thread I believe, by International Marine I think. I'll see if I can dig up the comment.

2006 DF250.

I'll be working on it this weekend, so i guess I'll find out for sure then.

I hope it works and please advise. I also have a 2006, but its a DF175 and would love the C10 gauges. I just couldn't find anything that would confirm it would work on my year motor.

Thanks

Guys, guys... Not trying to be rude but this has been covered ad nauseam in this thread. It will work but is not supported by Suzuki. I have 2 2007 DF200s and version 2.3 works with the C10 gauges.

If I remember correctly, there was a change from 2006 to 2007. I vaigly remember the conversation with Mike when I installed my interface cable for the third time. I finally got it right, but Mike did mentioned something about 2006 to 2007 being a transition year.

It will likley be plugged into the wiring harness, often the connection can be found near the front of the engine down around where the cowl clip is. Can be hard to find. Just have to look harder!

Does the engine need to be on for the motor to register on the NMEA network?

I've got my interface cable hooked up to the SDS port but the only thing showing up on the network is the C10 gauge.

I have the key turned on, so my old analog gauges are on and my old analog suzuki tach goes through its beeps.

EDIT: Nope, no difference with the motor running...

Can you guys take a look at my scheme here?

I've got:

Interface Side -- Triplex Cable -- SDS Adapter
Single Red -- Green -- Black/Green
White -- White -- Orange/Yellow
Black -- Black -- Black

I do have the eastern beaver plugs i'm just testing without them on. Going to make the run with the triplex wire from SDS port to center console before adding plugs.

Doesnt look quite right. Close though!

You have the old round plug, but anyway, you just need to wire it thru the adapter cable so that:

Red on interface, connects to red/gray on engine SDS plug (power)
White, to orange/yellow (data)
Black to black (earth)

I would say you have 2 out of 3 right at the moment.

The one thats likely wrong with your current setup seems to be the red from the interface to the engine. This is the 12v + power supply. So if the engine plug 12v wire isnt grey/red, then use a test light or volt meter to find the pin with 12v positive when the key is turned on, and use that one.
