Default NavPlanner Question...

First and foremost, let me compliment the knowledgeable folks of this forum. I am considering the urgent purchase of the NavPlanner software as my unit’s base memory as maxed out.

I started researching NavPlanner as the current my “management” program (Maps Explorer) is total….err, well, pooh. At $20 I guess you get what you pay for.

Anyway, your site came up first in my research. I read a couple of old threads which reviewed the NavPlanner software as soon as it hit the shelves. I was very impressed by the knowledge of folks here…good stuff!

So, here we are. I have some questions concerning this software:

1) Have they ever fixed the issues with this software?

2) Is it a good waypoint manager? If no, then is there a program you would recommend where I can download, store, manage and reload my waypoints-routes and trails into?

3) Would you recommend this software? I am a tournament angler and I need to get my unit up to speed asap.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give. You are all very appreciated!

I've been using Fugawi trial version this weekend and it works good to display and transfer data to my Lowrance. Give it a look.

Let me update this post....I've looked again and take it you mean the newest software, not their explorer. I'll give the trial a try.

Thanks!

If your unit's memory is full this software does you zero good because you'll simply fill it with exactly the same crap as you just removed to clear memory space.

Any other ideas?
Maybe we are speaking of different versions? I have thousands of waypoints in a file on my PC but can easily choose a subset to transfer. If you wanted to do it by lake, just use a naming convention that will let you easily choose?

Lake1_Point1
Lake1_Point2
Lake2_Point1....
