What are you trying to accomplish?
There are various wireless stuffs out there. I do not happen to have this specific antenna, but have several for different situations and senarios.
Use:
In harbor?
Just off-shore?
As far as you can reach?
Each can result in a slightly better choice than the other.

You may want to look at the Wave Magnum from RadioLabs.
You can use this model and take it with you as well. The Capti model is fine if you want a permanent mount, and usb cable strung when you want it.
I actually have a specially designed unit for my boat and wall plate inside the cabin for plugging in the laptop/dvd player/tv tuner/data port/etc.... very handy. It will do around 4 to 5 miles range.
I ended up purchasing this Captifi antenna for my 33 ft. cruiser. I mounted the antenna on top of a "sea sucker". It's currently mounted inside my entertainment cabinet below and I am getting good reception at my marina that I couldn't get before. (I'm at the very end of the marina long dock). I can easily flip it out a hatch and suck it to the radar arch when better reception is needed. We're just getting into our cruising season so don't have a lot of experience with it yet.
The only issue I had was the software that came with the unit doesn't work with 64 bit computers. Not sure just what this software provided anyway.

I bought a Captifi antenna and mounted it on top the roof of my 50' sailing boat in June 2010.
I used it in till August 2010 then let the antenna installed for the winter period.
When I tried to use the antenna in 2011, it works for a short period and then went to a status of unknown device when I tried to run it with my computer.
After many contacts with Radiolabs support I returned the device to them since it seems to be a hardware issue.
The issue was really a hardware failure, but as the warranty period was over, Radiolabs refused to replace my antenna even if the effective using period was very small.
I would say that I do not recommand at all this device due to its poor reliability in a marine environment and its limited reception range.
It provides a much stronger signal than the laptop by itself. It's not really the same as some of the stronger units, it's somewhere in between, but it works and it's cheap. I was using the signal from a condo up the river until the marina installed wireless for the docks.
I have the same Alfa gizmo, but it has a different name on it (SinMax, gotta love it). Sure perked up my signal and reception. software was easy to load and it's easy to use.
For awhile I needed a stronger signal, so I mounted the element directly in the focal point of an old DirecTV dish and pointed that at my source. Gangbusters!
