Default Best smaller color sounder/GPS screen in daylight

There are so many smaller units like Lowrance 19 and 104 size screens around in all brands, Raymarine, Furuno, Koden etc who makes the BEST colour screen for smaller trailerboats inshore fishing?

Its confusing,

some are raving how good their units re in direct sunlight,

others need clipons to view then -

who can give recommendations after using current models-

reliability is a factor.

some units have too many recalls!!

I want brilliant colour in daylight!

I just put a Furuno 1650WF/NT on my small boat and it's color display works great in direct sunlight. The new AR coating furuno is using has greatly improved readability. The sounder portion is the same as the 582L and is one of the best you can buy IMHO.

It does get confusing when the topic is directed away from the top of the line products.

I can not offer any suggestions, only a suggestion.

Look at the best in the business; then see if that or those companies have smaller units with the same screen technology.

I have the Sitex CVS-106L and it does great in the sun.

Garmin just came out with a great looking 500 watt color LCD for about 800 bucks. Saw it at a trade show and it looked great under the lights.

With My sitex I have it mounted in the electronics box and I get a reflection of the white deck of the boat or the white sea foam around the boat that makes for some glare, but the color intensity is excellent.

The new Raymarine units with the "Hi-Brite" screen are fine in un-shaded sunlight. The older ones ok only with shade of a top.

Had a SiTex Profish II before that was great in the sun but poor at twilight or darker.

In my experience, Si-tex pro-fish II and III are great--maybe the best--in direct sunlight. I have a Furuno 600L, which is almost impossible to see during the day with sunglasses one; can't speak to the model mentioned earlier.
