EPIRB -McMurdo E3

Guess I've been too busy lately but I just read the testing results by BoatUS and the CG on EPIRB equipment. I've had my E3 for 2 years and have depended on it as a safety device since we often find ourselve 50 to 70 miles off shore. What's the latest on McMurdo equipment? The E3 was not one of the ones tested but all of the orher McMurdo equipment looks like problems. I have not recieved any kind of letter regarding warranty issues. Anyone else out there have the E3? If so, have you recieved any notices from McMurdo? I know this has been discussed but I don't think the last shoe has fallen relative to McMurdo.

The issue with the McMurdos was with the GPS portion. Your EPIRB will still work even if the GPS dies. It will take the coasties a little longer to pinpoint your position, but they can still narrow it down pretty well and will probably launch with rough coordinates even before they get the tighter coords.
