Default VHF interference

Seems like my Garmin 240 interferes with my VHF. I can hear a pulsing through the VHF when the fishfinder is turned on. The pulse goes away when the fishfinder is turned off. Is there a filter I can install to prenvent this? If not is there anything I can do?

Default VHF interference

Check the RF grounding for both units. If secure, try a ferrite suppresser on each antenna lead (Radio Shack).
