looking for some GPS Advice

I have been trying to figure out which gps unit to purchase. I think I've narrowed down my choice to the Garmin 5208 (space limited) but am not sure what transducer to go with.



Is the GSD 22 the best option?
What through hull should I get to go with this setup?
I predominantly boat/fish in nothing deeper than 300 feet.

Any thoughts on this unit?

Where will I find the best deals?

you have to get the gsd22...no other choice and this is your best option for a ducer based upon your needs. find out what deadrise you have - 90% probability the 20 degree will do it.

A through hull transducer can be the beast performance but also a great deal of work depending on how your hull is constructed. If it is a cored hull, you need some expertise with glass repair. A transom mount can be a great choice if it is properly installed.
