Default anyone ever use JTH Marine electronics
No, this is not a plug for them before anyone here jumps on me.

They are a solid 10% less than most online vendors to include BOE, and wanted to know if anyone has any experience.

10% less than most online vendors is very odd when most online vendors are only marking up their prices between 6-10%

that's what I was thinking. I ordered something small to see how it goes, but if all checks out, everything will be coming from there.

When your new 2k piece of hardware shits the bed on day 3 and this guy tells you to call the manufacturer for warranty help instead of overnighting out a replacement that extra sawbuck in your pocket is going to be looking awfully small.

I would go with Jim at BOE he will match the price and stand behind what he sells. Great service and info at BOE can't get any better than that.

Yea right!! I know, I know, they don't make any money seling products, they just do it for the fun of it.

Try 40% to 60%, then they drop the sale price to be about 30%.

Almost all those guys simply drop ship from cwrelectronics.com. That's why when something is out of stock on one site, it's out of stock with everyone. CWR provides a data feed of all of their inventory, so you just slap your "storefront" on their data and you are in business. From my experience, the markup on the big ticket items....like the Lowrance HDS-10 I am looking for is closer to 3-5%, nowhere near 40-60%.

Sometimes, I guess, I'm difficult to understand. I made that little quip because Erbyjoe stated Jim would "match the price". While I understood him completely, I just wanted to insert a small poke to the ribs. I'll be more careful in future postings. BOE also has my business.

Birdman - Don't know if you were kidding or not but just in case you weren't, you would be shocked if you knew just how small the margin was for most marine dealers, especially on-line. Single digit for sure 90% of the time.
