Default Good electrical book for boats

Just thought to buy "Radar for Mariners" by Gavid Burch and would like to add another boat-electrical book to the Amazon order.

I presently have the first and second edition of " The 12 Volt Bible for Boats" By Miner K. Brotherton revised by Ed Sherman

And also Powerboater's Guide to Electrical Systems" by Ed Sherman

What would be another good addition to those two bocks.

Thumbs up Boat owner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual

Written by Nigel Calder; very extensive electrical section. Its a very good resource! I have almost worn it out.

I have Radar for Mariners also but would highly recommend "The Radar Book" by Kevin Monahan. David has a good book if you interestet in the Mathematical aspects of how radar works and gets a little drawn out. Kevin's book is full of practiful information on how to use your radar including many useful photos and diagrams. Don't get me wrong, Davids an excellent teacher and I have been to his school here in Seattle and would suggest you purchase his software on Radar Training as it is pretty cool.
One of my Electrical Engineers who works for me recommended a pretty straight forward book on Marine Wiring "BOATOWNERS ILLISTRATED HANDBOOK OF WIRING" by Charlie Wing. You do not need an Engineers degree to understand this book and it includes the ABYC standards for both AC and DC wiring.

not cheap, and not a "Boat mech and elec for Dummies", but gives the how-to's and the theory behind it.

I haven't read much but the section on batteries and chargers was worth the cost of the whole book IMO.

"The 12 Volt Doctor's Practical handbook" and "The 12 Volt Doctor's Alternator Book", both by Edgar J Beyn (Weems & Plath) are also both good potential additions to the boaters library.

Thank you for all your suggestions, I wish I could buy them all but will look at them and see what's right for me.
I may also reconsider the book on Radar. Maybe the one by Kevin Monahan would be a better choice.

Thank you

Birch's book is both; complex and simple. Just read what you want. I don't care about the mathematical stuff, but how to set sea clutter and things like that. I found about the 1st half of the book to be what I needed: straightforward and very easy to read.
