I have the same setup, and had that problem a couple of times but seems to have gone away. I solved it by powering down the open array (that is on a separate power supply) and powering it back up while the 4212 was still on....call Garmin either way...the support is pretty good, but they might not figure it out right away.

I've had a similar problem for a while. At times, I'll get a message of "Radar Unavailable" on both my 4212 and 3210. Mine is also on a seperate breaker.

When I get the message, the radar will usually restart all by itself as though the power were temporarily interupted. It will go through a full restart cycle, counting down the 74 seconds it takes to warm up. It's not a network problem.

I've noticed that the problem is not as bad as long as the Radar unit is powered on before the rest of the electronics. If I just restart the power to the radar after it goes down, it sometimes won't be seen at all by either plotter.

I've traced the power connections all the way from the radome to the source, and the connections are solid.

If it is still doing it in the spring with the latest updates, I'm going to send it back for repair. I can't afford to have radar drop out for 74 seconds when I'm coming back in zero-zero vis late at night. It's even worse if I have to bounce the electronics to resolve the issues.

This is not an acceptable bug.

Fwiw, I have the 24hd dome, and it is networked through a garmin hub to the rest of the electronics.
