Default Whoops, dropped a fuse!

I was wondering if anyone could help, The fuel guage for my Suzuki 115 is not working so I was checking the small cylindrical fuse behind the guage and as it's in a very tight spot I dropped it (never to be seen again!). Anyone have any idea of the size so that I can replace it.
Thanks in advance.
John.

Unless there is only one gauge , I don't think they are generally fused separately, but all gauges through one fuse off the ign. terminal of the switch . So it's hard to say what you had.

This Faria/Suzuki fuel gauge installation guide doesn't mention the fuse requirement- http://www.faria-instruments.com/sit...fuel_gauge.pdf .

Probably 1 amp would be way plenty for 1 gauge on 18 ga cable , but just guessing there.

That wasn't the bulb by any chance was it?

There's very little current in a fuel gauge. If that's all the fuse protects, then 1 amp would do.

Ok thanks for that, it's on a short piece of wire coming out of the back of the gauge and isn't the bulb, i'll put a 1 amp in and see what happens Thanks for the quick response.

After putting a new fuse in it still didn't work, turned out to be a dodgy crimped wire! lesson learned check the connections first
