Default Another big install

This is a well known boat that is a 5000 hp KaMeWa 120' Jet Yacht with a James Bond name that I can't divulge, but many of you know the boat. We just finished a 5 month refit with a all new dash and helm. A few pics of the finished helm:

I've been boating for more than 45 years, have a 4 year degree, and those pics tell me I'm too broke and dumb to pilot that craft.

That's a sweet job Glen.

Wow.. Thats one hell of a cockpit! It does look like its more suited for a high end aircraft! Those helm seats look like they were made by recaro! Does this thing steer by joystick?? If so, it looks like it could make one hell of a gaming center for those long boring rides!

Nice work Glen!

Looks all automated like a Northwest airliner. Just don't fall asleep and PASS the marina by 150 miles!!! Waterways are'nt quit as forgiving.

Cool, didn't even notice those flush/retractable mics. wow!

Hey Glen,
Is the visibility out the front better than it looks like in the pics? Hope so!! What was the budget on a job like that? 100k?

the equipment is really out there - 2 black box furunos, 2 nobletecs and 10 monitors all over the boat - switchable via touchpads to any function...here is a shot I like of behind the scenes:

Big yacht waterjets like KaMeWa's are much easier to maneuver with joysticks vs wheels...

that is neat and exceedingly slick, but I am more impressed w/ some of the installs on your "small" boats. That recent Intrepid install was slick. Maybe my perspective is more slanted to the smaller boat.

We do about 4-5 20-40 footers a week so I I look for unique things when I post here - lots of our installs here:
http://www.elec-unlimited.com/smf/index.php?board=2.0

I'll be done a clean install on a wellcraft 35 in a couple days - Garmin 5212's and JL....

Here's a Donzi 38 dash we completed yesterday - Clarion/JL/Ray C120W & VHF - flush mount with acrylic in the helm box -sliding plex still works in front of electronics... ...

and I agree - some of the smallest installs are the funnest....

Wow, that is an AMAZING amount of wiring/cabling in that pic down below. Makes me feel better after all the cables I've pulled thru Machria.

I think that boat was originally owned by a guy I know on LI years ago, no? Same boat, do you know?
