Random Quote: Most fishing problems are caused by the connection between the boat and the rod.
so i added an amp to my boat stereo, now when i power on the head unit there is a pop sound in the speakers,it works great and everything, just this weird pop on power up?
Most of the time this is caused by people who signal their amps to turn on via a switch and not through the amp turn on wire of the headunit. You can still use an external switch, just have it feed a relay which feeds the switch. You could get away with just feeding directly to the switch but putting in a relay only ads about 5 minutes of time and you won't ever have to worry with it.
