Airmar P66 to Lowrance HDS - The Hull Truth

I have a new sounder and want to connect the Airmar to it but the P66 isn't listed in the options available on the HDS. Can anyone suggest which transducer I should create it under?

Have you loaded the latest software update? You should have version 2.1.30.58. It can be down loaded at http://www.lowrance.com/Downloads/Pr...tware-Updates/

I do not recall if P66 is actually listed, but I do know that there is a list of Airmar transducers including the 260. If it is not listed you can select generic 600w 50/200 kHz and you will be fine.

Use B744, its identical in element, degree angle and power. If B744 is not listed then use B60, since P66 the same as B60 eccept the 200khz degree angle for P66 11 degree while B66 is 12 degree angle

I had this same question a few weeks ago. I have a B744v that I'm using with the HDS, and it is not in the drop-down list of ducers. But, as suggested, the unit works fine using both the generic 200/50 setting and the B60.

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah I saw something similar before but wasn't able to locate it when searching so asked the question again, sorry if it is a repeat.
