Question BOE Marine had the LSS-1 on sale & was taking pre orders with a date of 11/23/09 as the expected delivery date Now it says date is 12/18/09 Did they sell all expected delivery amounts or did Lowrance postpone the date AGAIN?
I never ordered mine & now I wish I had BOE had a great price for that unit.

The estimated ship date from the retailers usually reflect what the manufacturer tells them and will change accordingly. My Garmin VHF200 was pre-ordered months before I got it and the estimated ship date changed accordingly (a few times) as well but I was kind of expecting that going in.. Garmin was behind on their certifications or production and it took longer for the product to hit the channel. . Thats pretty typical of electronic manufacturers. New products most always face delays and are rarely on the streets when the original expected delivery should have been... Sometimes because production is behind or due to the laws of supply and demand..

I have my LSS-1 pre-ordered from BOE. I placed my order a couple months or so ago when the dealers could first start taking orders. I expected delays with it as well so I wan't surprised to see the date change a few days ago.

HI there,
Just wondering if anyone has any screen captures where structure scan doesn't make the bottom but still shows bait schools etc? Quite keen to use it for scanning for bait when marlin or tuna fishing and this is usually >100m deep but struggling to find any piccies..
Cheers

I know that atleast one retailer has shipped to consumer, a friend of mine purchased one from 3 River Marine and received it a couple days ago.

The structurescan remains functional in depths where the bottom isn't in "view". You probably won't find any of those shots on the web yet because they aren't as "impressive" as bottom shots with well defined structure.

We filled all of our orders this week except for 1 (customer with initials DG in case you're reading this!), and I have more due in the middle part of next week.

Jim, You are fast!! I called you this morning to follow up on my back order and just a few minutes ago, my structure scan showed up at my door! Many thanks for the great service! Now I have to determine if this thing will even work on my boat! If it does, you can look forward to an HDS order from me in the coming weeks.

Yes, but silently. My wife doesn't know about such things as HDS and StructureScan and their relationship to bank accounts.

Do you get an ethernet cable with the LSS-1 kit? I thought I read a post that said it came wth one. I purchased a 15' and 25' cable so I could have everything ready to go when my LSS-1 shows up.
