Hi
New here and been reading a lot of threads... thanks for the info. You've all been very helpful. Well, I finally got my first boat but haven't been into car/boat audio since the late 90s so I'm playing catch up, lol. I am a musicina and have great home audiophile grade gear (Monitor Audios/NHT subs)
Anyway, I got this killer deal on 26' Azure Sport Deck and just installed a Fusion IP600G to works w/ my iPhone 3Gs (ipod function) which I like to have on the boat. The FUSION is 70W x 4 and seems pretty loud but I'm missing something...bass perhaps, maybe the speakers aren;t cutting it also?
It has stock JBL 6.5s that came with the boat from the factory along with the JBL CD/AM/FM head unit I just took out and replaced with the Fusion.
So, in my attempt to get better/good audio without breaking the bank, I need some advice...
Option 1 (~ $950): The best thing I THINK I could do to improve sound and is to add a JL AUDIO M10IB5 and the 5-channel JL Audio MHD900-5 which would power all four 6.5s PLUS the new sub. I could replace the 6.5s later when I have more Benjamin's.
Option 2 (~ $300-500): Just get the JL 10" sub and say a lower-priced 2-channel amp (recommendations please). Would that really make a huge difference or would the 4 - 6.5s disappear in the mix?
Any recommendations greatly appreciated...
and lastly, where would you recommend putting the 10" sub?

Thanks in advance! Great forum
