Have you tried BoatStuf? They have locations in Slidell and Harvey.

I am new here on THT, but have 14 years experience. Check out Miss Trial's install pics. That's a boat I just finished. Call me @ 225-268-7837 or email @ insideconnections@yahoo.com . Joe Magnolia. I have plenty or references and photo examples of my work. Look forward to talking to you.

Go to WWW.nmea.org and click on the dealer locator.
The National Marine Elect. Asso. is the best place to start.

Sea-Trac Offshore is top notch. They're in New Orleans, Scott's my contact down there, their technicians are available 24/7 and they are in my opinion the best electronics outfit on the Gulf.

If you are anywhere near New Iberia, Ryan Borell in New Iberia cant be beat. Prices and work are top notch. Some of the higher priced guys near NO may be better, but for normal installs on rec fishing boats Ryan can't be beat.

Bayou Marine, Bent's Marine, Metro Boating, Hank Johnson " The Boat Doctor ".
Any boat dealer or marine sales should be able to hook you up with your install .

I just had my boat done by Joe Magnolia in Baton Rouge. He is absolutely top notch. You can see his work here: http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/253681-thanks-tht-my-contender-31-overhaul-complete-note-lots-pics.html. Excellent attention to detail.

His number is 225-268-7837

Southshore Marine has a great reputation. Hopefully you're near them.

I second the comment on Sea-Trac. They've done some commercial work for guys I know. Talk to Scott or Chris.

three years ago I chose another installer down there after my dealer recomended Sea-Trac. I now regret that since I changed the layout in my electronics box, and found average work done another installer (Garmin GPS, Icom Radio, Furuno 585) . I will not call out a bussiness in a online forum for average work (not the profesional quality I expected for the money paid). PM me if you want additional info.
