I want to send the engine data to the 4210 but I don't have Command Link gauges installed. Just the standard analog gauges. What specifically do I need to accomplish this? Is all I need just the Maretron cable? Or do I need to run something from the engine to the 4210 directly or to the small network hub? The boat is a 2009 Key West 211 CC.
If you have a yamaha hub then all you need is the maretron cable. There are two types of cables, one which pulls power from the hub, and one used if you already have a powered NMEA 2000 network. They have different parts numbers.
If you don't have Command Link gauges then you don't have the command link hub into which the Maretron cable will plug. See Andy at SIM for the stuff that you need.
