Default Flo Scan installation question

I am thinking of buying the twinscan for a t/150 EFI installation. The marina said they would do it (of course) and to figure about 4 hours for the install.

I looked at the website and it doesn't look very difficult, so I was wondering where the four hours comes from. I think I can do it myself.

Can someone give me the quick version of how the install process goes, if there are any special "must do this way" stuff, etc....

Thanks,
Scott

PS - who had good prices on twinscan?

Do the efi's have a return fuel line to the gas tank?

I did it myself. 4 hours is about double the time it took me. Others could probably do it in less but running the wires in my boat was a pain.

The thing that took more time for me was deciding WHERE to put everything, where to mount the gauge, where to mount the flow senders, etc., etc.** Then, going to the store to buy more fuel line so I could mount the senders where I decided to put them, etc etc.

You can do this and save the bucks for more beer and/or bait. Either FloScan or Navman units are really easy to install. Wiring and installing the gauge will take the most time.

Installed my FloScan 9000 in a couple of hours.* Most time required to cut the circular hole in the instrument panel area.

Make sure you have the correct hole saw available, or can borrow one.* Having to purchase one can eat up a good bit of your labor savings.

Good luck,

Brian

Anyone with average mechanical skills and tools can install these things Real easy to do. Just plan for the time. The Tech Support hot line is great if you run into trouble.
