Default Furuno 1650 DGPS

I plan on purchasing a new Furuno 1650 DGPS. They come either for navionics or c-map NT. I already have a two year old c-map card for my area.

Question 1 - will my two year old card work, or do I need to upgrade it?

Question 2 - is there any advantage for this machine to use one over the other?

Thanks, Scott

The new screen of the 1650 is basically just an anti-glare coating, but the new version will have WAAS.

The new 1650wass is out. You can get c-map or nav charts. Your old c-map charts will not work.

I do believe that the Older CMAP cards will still work in both the new and old systems. You will not get the advantage of the newer chips information in the older Furuno systems.
As to screens, I am taking a older one to ManMachine.com for a screen upgrade to let it be
as clear in sunlight as my Standard Horizon CP 170
