Default Dual bank marine charger question.

I just purchased the ProSport12 dual bank marine charger. Manual not that clear on hooking up and have not heard back from manufacture on my e-mail. So, I have two 12v batteries in series for 24v trolling motor. Standard hook up.. Question: can I leave this connected as is and still do hook up of pos/neg to each battery. Or do I need to disconnect series wiring? Thanks

I just installed a Minkotta charger for my neighbor with the same setup. Leave everything hooked up.
It should have 4 wires comming out of the unit to hook to the battries. +&- for each battery.

Default RE: Dual bank marine charger question.

I had the same question a while back. You just leave your 24 volt hookup alone and hook up
the charger to each battery (pos and neg on each) and this works fine.

My understanding is that the charger does not recognize the 24 volt setup and charges each
battery like it was by itself.
