I had the Raymarine SG2 on my boat for 4 years. It would run on track and usually be within 12 feet in XTE. The new sx10 is even better. When you use it with Raymarine MSD's you can get an autopilot pop-up that really is handy. To dodge, +10 puts it into Auto mode and it is easily returned to the track mode with a button push. Those that say that it wanders all over when you do that may not realise that if you hit Restart XTE after the dodge, it locks right on.

i wasnt spending three grand for an auto pilot.. I bought ray's S1000 , I have a 25 proline , 9 10 beam with twin 150 yama on a bracket. I striper fish alot alone,, 1.5 knots or so.. I love my unit.. hooked it up in about five hours. had to stop talking to people... I use it for straight shot points to run to. I use the track but cross track error is sometimes 10 degrees,, so i run my GPS heading and hit auto to just track at the heading i started at.. Raymarine said to eliminate some sentences and it will track better.. but when just running auto,, its straight as a dime even under when the seas are sloppy... slowest i can run under auto pilot is about 1.1 knot. I paid 678 for it with a 100 dollar ebate from RAYmarine... joe
