Recommend a gide for wiring a small, open boat?

I have a 16" Amesbury Dory w/ side console/ Honda 25hp.

Can you recommend a book or guide on how I should wire the battery, battery switch, bilge pump, running lights, fish finder, GPS and such? I want to get it right the first time.

I have heard of a book called the 12 Volt Bible but it seems to be about 20 years old, I'd like something more current.

Most books on marine electrical seem to be for much larger boats, I want something simple for a small open boat.

That book is one of if not the best. Physics does not change.

Use only tinned copper wire.

12V Bible for Boats - 2nd edition (2003) includes info re newer battery technologies...should be about $14 on amazon.

Ditto what silverg said about bluesea - even their catalog is loaded with good-to-know info.
