Default Garmin 540/545 Internal Antenna

I was noticing that the majority of these units have the internal antennas. My question is this...If I flush mount one of these units under a t-top (canvas, not hard top), am I going to need to get the exteranal antenna for the T top, or will the internal antenna be sufficient? Thanks for any feedback!

you'll be fine with the internal antenna - 95% probability it will shoot thru a hard top too....

Thanks Glen...that is exactly what I was thinking. It will be very nice not having to fish wires through the t-top for the external antenna

I installed one yesterday and was surprised to see it had good reception inside an overhead electronics box under the hardtop!
I already had an external antenna and it bumped up the signals some, but it looks to be unnecesary.
