Nav software on an Apple - The Hull Truth

Just wondering if anyone had any experiences tying their gps into an Apple laptop. What software would you recommend? Looking at GPSNavX, just because the price is right. Also, I should be able to use my Garmin gpsmap 76 without too much trouble, right? Thanks for your help.

GPSNavX interfaces to GPS via the NMEA-0183 protocol. The Garmin GPS receivers do not support the NMEA protocol via their USB cables (unfortunately). So to interface a Garmin GPSMap 76 to GPSNavX you would need to use these two cables..

These cables are only needed if you wish to do real-time plotting. If you only want to transfer waypoints, routes, and tracks then you can use this free application and the Garmin USB cable..
