Bluechart download problems

I've unlocked the region US003-Cape Cod, but can't download the maps. I must be missing a step somewhere. The unit is a 162. I can view the maps I want but when I try to send them to the g.p.s. I get a message stating that map #--- is not unlocked. What I don't see is where I can view or download the whole region, just the maps in the region, which won't download.
Of course I started this on a Friday night and Garmin customer service isn't open until Monday a.m.
Anybody been through this?

Q.I got my unlock code and downloaded it. Now what?
A. Follow these step-by-step instructions:

Launch MapSource.
Choose “Unlock Codes...” from the “Tools” menu.
Press the “Add” button.
Enter the unlock code, either with or without dashes.
MapSource will then verify that the unlock code is valid and add it to its list.

So you have done this step, yes? I don't think you can download the entire area at once. You'll need to choose which maps and then download. I have found about 36 maps for this area (Boston).

Did you get a verification from the site saying you have sucessfully unlocked?

It shows that the region is unlocked. I received the e-mail confirmation of the unlock code. If I go to "tools" then "unlock codes" the region is listed there too. It's only when I try to download the maps that I get the error message that they are not unlocked.
Any ideas?

Sorry, sounds like you have done evrything right. Sounds like you can view it and make changes on the computer yes? If so, I would use this weekend to learn the software and add your fav spots etc...I'm sure the the folks at Garmin will have you downloading in no time on Monday. Sorry I couldn't have been more help

One last shot....you may have already done this but I would reboot the computer, then mark a spot in the GPS and try to upload it in order to check your communication. Then at least you will know that you have a link between the two.....

Have you updated all of your 162 software? I had to do that before I could download selected Fishing Hotspots maps.

Are you sure that when you downloaded unlock codes that the serial number of your unit matched the unit you are trying to download to? Unlock codes are specific to one unit and cannot be used to unlock a different unit.

This prevents an unlock, which amounts to an exclusive license, being used on more than one unit.

I double checked everything. Ser# is right. I can upload from g.p.s. to the p.c. The region is unlocked but the maps won't download. I upgraded the unit last night before I started so that's not it. It's got to be something stupid.
Any more suggestions?

The maps highlight but won't download, I guess I'll have to call Garmin during the week. It figures that their customer service hours are when I'm at work. I'd rather do it at home while I'm on the phone w/ them.
