Default Bluesea contura switch

I'm looking into installing these switches on my boat but wanted to know if anyone has any feedback on these switches. Are they waterproof that would be good for a center console and what does the dual pole single throw and dual pole double throw mean for the switches.

Look up Carling Technoligies. They produce Contura switches. It's a good switch. I'm in the process of customizing panels and rewiring every switch in a 37 sport bridge. I'm converting everything to Contura switches. The Contura series are a heavy duty sealed rocker switch that is rated at IP66 and IP68 for illuminated and non-illuminated.

If you are replacing simular type switches it should be simple. If you are converting or plan on customizing your panel then you should have a good working knoweldge of DC circuits and know you way around a multimeter.

Good Luck

The switch itself is waterproof but it seems like the panels are only water resistant.

I don't think Blue Sea Systems makes anything (if they did I don't know what) -- I think they only re-brand off the shelf product and jack up the price. Basically the same thing Ancor does.

I'm building a new boat and looking at putting these type of switches on it. They look clean and easy to see if its on with the led lights on them. Was also considering the waterproof switches from Blue seas but I don't care for the toggle switch style of look.
