PLB registration question

I registered my new PLB using my GA address where I boat most of the year. I will be boating eastern Long Island waters for two months or so this summer. Should I change my registration address when I go up north or make a comment in the "Additional Data" section? My concern would be a possible delay in response caused by a beacon transmission so far from my listed residence.

Either way would work. If you change your address, it will leave more room in the additional data section for trip details. Just as important is to make sure the emergency contact phone #s are up to date with folks who can provide information to the USCG on your daily plans.
