Default Navionics question

This may be a dumb question but I can't find any info on it. Does the gold series have tide info?

Thanks

I have the Gold series for the NE and I'm pretty positive it shows tide info.

Did you know that tidal information on plotters is normally just calculated, based on the position of the sun and the moon? If you want to know what is actually happening (as a result of recent weather conditions in addition to the ephemeris data,) you need the live reports on Satellite Weather!

That's good info I did not know that was how they did it. I use the tide change times to figure out when to start fishing. usually =/- an hour. The Salmon seem to prefer tide changes in the areas I fish.

Navionics Gold has both tide and current information. The stations show up as a "T" or "C" on the chart. Click on the icon and a graph along with summary info pops up. You can set it or another day too. At least that's how it works on my Furuno NavNet VX2s. Make sure you have the system time set correctly.

Not only does the gold have tides, but it also has current info which shows what the direction and speed of the tidal flow really is. I depens on the unit you use whether they will both be available. I know they are on my Raymarine units.
