Default Does this mean something snazzy is coming June 1st from Garmin

are they clearing out old inventory? Almost as bad as just missing a $200 savings is buying just before a new model with great new features is introduced.

Great info guys. I have been dealing with my old 76 b/w handheld waiting to find the next unit. I am going to go 545s. Does anyone know the approx. cost of the xm weather service? Thanks!

Default Cost of satellite weather

$30 -$50/mth depending on which version you get

And you can suspend your wx subscription in the off months, just make sure when you call that you are asking to suspend, not terminate, or you'll get charged a start-up when you wake it up. Saved me $300 last year.

I have the XM weather and it really helps during the summer months to see the cell movement, tops, rain Db returns (likely severity), lightning strikes, and other important data. I have the aviator package, but it gives most if not all the information I need for boating as well as everything I want as a pilot. The same antenna works on the 396/496, and on marine units 378/478 as well. The 500 series uses a different antenna, unfortunately.
